Contention Lane Bridge To Open This Week
Tredyffrin Township officials said thanks to the hard work by public works and contractor crews, the bridge will be open by the week's end.

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Contention Lane Bridge in Tredyffrin Township is open again, and earlier than expected.
Tredyffrin Township officials said the repair work was anticipated to last through the end of March, but that it was completed early on Monday.
The contractor will be removing their equipment from the site later this week, followed by the township removing the bridge and road closure signage and barricades.

The bridge and roadway are expected to be reopened to traffic on or before Friday.
Officials thanked the combined effort of the contractor and Public Works Department staff for their hard work through February's cold temperatures to help speed up the work.

The old wooden deck boards and curbing have been removed and replaced, along with new hardware, providing a new solid bridge and deck surface for years to come.
The township also thanked residents and commuters for their patience and understanding during the bridge closure for the necessary repairs.
