Cooking for Mom on Sunday? "Cheating" Options

Mother's Day is the day to fuss over mom. Here are options for making her a homemade meal without cooking.

Mother's Day is tomorrow and there are options for "cheating" on preparing her a homemade meal since you can't let your mom cook.

If you want to impress her with your cooking skills, but you don't actually have any, never fear. You can still be a breakfast in bed, brunch, lunch, or dinner hero without having to get out a single mixing bowl or cookbook.

Here's how Whole Foods sums up take-out for Mother's Day on the Devon Whole Foods Website.

FACT: The busiest restaurant day of the year is MOTHER'S DAY. If you haven't made reservations, ah, you might be in the DOG HOUSE. Best thing to do? Pick up some LOBSTER TAILS in our SEAFOOD DEPARTMENT for $6.99 each. Your side dishes are in Prepared Foods. Dessert is in the Bakery. Hit the Mile Post Pub for some great Maine beer, and you are GOOD TO GO!

That pretty much sums it up.

TE Patch territory is now bookended by Wegmans with a store in Malvern and now the newest Wegmans which opened just in time for Mothers Day in King of Prussia, on Upper Gulph Road, just over the Tredyffrin Township line.

You name it, they've probably got it in their meals to go sections which feature Asian, Indian, Thai, American and other world cuisines. They will also cut your vegetables and fruits for you if you want (there is a little extra cost for sliced produce). Wegmans also has fresh fish, flown in daily and a big tank of lobsters just waiting for you to have a greet and eat visit.

Wegmans is open 24 hours a day so you've got an option if you're a last minute kind of person.

Yes, we know that .  We also know that it was the back in February.

So if your Mother's Day just wouldn't be the same without Manny's there is some good news. Manny's has other locations in Bala Cynwyd and in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia.  You'll just have to drive a little to get to them. You can get all the details on the Manny's Crabcakes Website.
