Devon Bank Heist Suspect Linked to Many More

It took a while to find him, but Easttown Police say the man accused of robbing the Citizens Bank in Devon back in May is now captured.. and a suspect in at least seven other bank robberies.

Marcus Akiem Ricketts was captured during a car stop by Uwchlan Township Police in July three minutes after an M&T Bank Branch was robbed in Exton. 

Easttown Police say Ricketts has now been linked to the Devon Bank Robbery through evidence recovered in the hours after the Citizens Bank was robbed. According to police, a size 14, high-end specialty sneaker print is a key piece of evidence linking Ricketts to the Exton and other bank robberies.

According to Easttown Police Ricketts has also indicated to authorities that he was involved in additional robberies as well.  Easttown Police Detective Lt. Scott Abee tells Patch the FBI is now handling the investigation because of the scope of the case and growing list of robberies involved.

Ricketts is currently being held in Chester County Prison.
