Devon Lanes Open, Mayuree Café Reopening Soon at Devon Plaza

The Playdrome Devon Lanes has been open during the renovation of Devon Plaza, the small shopping center at the corner of Lancaster Avenue and South Fairfield Road in Devon. The Thai restaurant Mayuree Café is expected to reopen as soon as next week, Devon Plaza co-owner Brett Furman told Patch.

The complete renovation of the shopping center, which was built in 1959, is about a month away from completion, Furman said. The renovation includes new signage, lighting, storefront glass, doors and roof for the 31,000-square-foot center.

In addition to Devon Lanes and Mayuree Café, a fitness center is scheduled to open there in the fall, Furman said.

Devon Lanes was recently updated, he said. A bowling center has been located in Devon Plaza since it opened 54 years ago.
