Easttown Library Kicks Off Summer Reading
Easttown Library offers a summer full of free activities for young readers and adults, plus prizes and free T-shirts.

If you're looking for something to keep your kids- and their brains- occupied and engaged in learning all summer start with the Easttown Library and Information Center.
The library's Summer Reading 2012 program features free classes including chemistry for students entering grades 2-6, fingerpainting, how to use e-book readers like Kindle and Nook, and a full slate of Wednesday evening concerts and exhibitions.

One of the biggest of the Wednesday evening events is set for June 27 at 7 p.m. when the library will host the Universal African Dance & Drum Ensemble. The Library describes the ensemble as
"An energetic performance by an eclectic group of drummers and dancers.The Universal African Dance & Drum Ensemble has performed at prestigious venues such as the Kimmel and Mann Centers, and for political, religious, and community leaders from around the globe. Join us in the courtyard for a night of fun and music. (Performance will be inside if it rains)."
