Easttown Police Hand Out Ice Cream 'Tickets'
Kids are getting tickets for getting "caught" doing good things in Easttown.
The Easttown Police Association (police officers' union) and the Easttown Police Department have teamed up to hand out coupons for ice cream at Handel's.
Easttown Patrolman Robert Edwards presented a ticket to Jack,9, a rising fourth grader at Beaumont Elementary School for wearing a helmet and following bike safety rules when he rides his bike.
The Police Union purchased 100 coupons good for a small ice cream cone or cup. Officers will be handing them out through the end of summer.
