Easttown Supervisors Elect New Leaders

Two board members are elevated to new positions

The Easttown Board of Supervisors has elected new leaders for 2013.

James Oram was elected board Chairman and Marc Heppe was elected Vice Chairman during the board's annual reorganization meeting this week.

Every township board in the state holds an annual reorganization meeting. While not a requirement, Easttown traditionally elects new leaders each year from among the sitting members of the board.

All five current board members are republicans who serve without taking the small salary that is designated for the position.

As the CEO of the consulting company, Forge Business Solutions, Jim specializes in sales, marketing, and general business organizational issues. His clients include local and regional businesses in the insurance, legal services, and health care industries. Also, he does extensive pro bono work in the non-profit sector.

In the community, he founded and served as president of the Berwyn Paoli Neighborhood Association. He successfully led the effort to prevent a zoning change which would have resulted in the loss of residential homes to commercial development. In addition, he coached little league and served on the Haverford School Alumni Board.

Marc Heppe was elected Vice Chairman at Monday night's meeting.His official  website biography from his last campaign says he 

attended the University of North Carolina before entering the U.S. Navy. Serving for 2 years in Vietnam before returning to graduate from Villanova University.

For the past 22 years, Marc and his wife Devon have owned and worked at DH2 Design Communications in Berwyn. Prior to DH2, Marc was Vice President of Marketing for the Garrett Buchanan Paper Co. based in Philadelphia.

As a township resident for 24 years he is active in the community. Marc has been the Treasurer of Leopard Lakes Farm for the past 14 years, a Board member of the Easttown Township Neighborhood Watch Association, and Judge of Elections in Easttown for 6 years."

He is a Vice President of the Berwyn Devon Business and Professional Association and has been very active in promoting business in Easttown. He is also very active in the Easttown Neighborhood Watch organization.
