Easttown Township Plans Collection of Unpaid Trash Fees
The township requests bids from agencies that can handle the collection of more than $600,000 in delinquent fees.

Officials at Easttown Township have issued a request for proposals to collection agencies that can manage the collection of delinquent service fees.
According to the proposal, there are 725 liens in place for approximately $618,618.33 in charges that have gone uncollected from trash and sewer customer. A third party vendor would be tasked with responsibly collecting the revenue within the guidelines set forth by state and federal laws, such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
A copy of the Request for Proposal for Collection Firm Services may be obtained by contacting Township Manager Dan Fox via email at dfox@easttown.org or downloading the form on the township’s website. Fox will accept bids until the deadline of 11 a.m. on Monday, May 18. Proposals can be mailed to 566 Beaumont Road, Devon PA, 19333.

Late proposals will not be accepted. The Township reserves the right to reject any or all submissions and to negotiate a final contract with the selected firm. The tentative date for final approval of a contract is scheduled for June 15.
