Wayne Woman Attacked by Rabid Skunk
A Wayne woman gets a nasty surprise while doing something she loves.
An 82-year-old woman from Wayne is underoing rabies shot treatments after she was attacked by a rabid skunk in her garden over the weekend.
According to an exclusive NBC10 report posted on the station's website, Ruth Kromer of Wayne fell while gardening on Saturday. While she was struggling to get back up on her feet, Kromer says the small stinker started biting her hands and angles.
The animal was tested and turned out to be rabid. Now Kromer, who lives on Louella Court in Wayne must undergo a series of shots.
