Excessive Heat Warning In Effect

The warning will last through Tuesday night.

An excessive heat warning will be in effect until Tuesday night.

The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued the warning. Heat index values will be in the mid-90s, according to the NWS.

The warning is expected to last until 7 p.m. Tuesday, when the weather should cool off.

An excessive heat warning means that a prolonged period of dangerously hot temperatures and high humidity will create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are likely. -NWS
