The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued the warning. Heat index values will be in the mid-90s, according to the NWS.
The warning is expected to last until 7 p.m. Tuesday, when the weather should cool off.
An excessive heat warning means that a prolonged period of dangerously hot temperatures and high humidity will create a dangerous situation in which heat illnesses are likely. -NWS
