Felony Charge Withdrawn Against Devon Man Accused of Hit-and-Run

Tredyffrin police say the 18-year-old defendant struck a pedestrian and fled the scene in March.

Chester County prosecutors withdrew a felony aggravate assault charge Wednesday against a Devon man who allegedly struck a pedestrian in March and fled the scene.

Brandon Tuck, 18, waived his preliminary hearing before Judge Thomas Tartaglio and is tentatively scheduled for a formal arraignment at the Chester County Justice Center on April 30 at 9:15 a.m. He faces five misdemeanor charges including simple assault, reckless endangerment and accident involving personal injury. Tuck has been released from Chester County Prison on a 10 percent bond of $10,000 bail.

According to a report from the Tredyffrin Police Department, the victim was struck by a car on March 17 near the Home Properties apartment complex on Avon Road in Devon and sustained a concussion. Investigators say they identified the driver two weeks later and arrested Tuck on April 1.
