A bridge that is being installed over North Valley Road was lifted into place by an enormous crane Monday in Tredyffrin Township. Patch's video camera was there at 1p.m. Monday as crews lifted the last section of handrail into place.
The bridge will link two parts of the Chester Valley Trail, which is currently under construction in Chester County and slated to open this fall.
In June, crews assembled and lifted a similar but slightly larger pedestrian bridge into the air over Valley Forge Road.
A 500-ton crane did the heavy lifting and raised the assembled bridge into place.
The handrail and bridge bed must still be installed on the bridge on Valley Forge Road.
