George Washington and Mick Jaeger Slept Here

Saturday only: You can see the Upper Main Line property that hosted two of the biggest names of their eras.

George Washington slept there. So did Mick Jaeger and Keith Richards. At least one other President also dropped by since Willowbrook Farm opened in 1750.

Willowbrook is just one of the stops on the 8th Annual Tredyffrin Historic Tour which runs Saturday from noon until 5 p.m.

Tredyffrin Historic Preservation Trust President and House Tour Chair  Pattye Benson tells TE Patch:

"The 8th Annual Historic House Tour features 6 historic homes, 2 restored barns and the wonderful old Mt. Zion AME Church and Cemetery. Mt. Zion will have special reenactors on the battlefield along with an old fashioned bake sale with homemade goodies. The Host Sponsor, Willowbrook Farm, is one of the stops. Twice a Vassar Show House, the owner Meg Veno, has her scheduled her Fall Barn Sale around the House Tour. Meg is generously donating a portion of the sales to the Tredyffrin Historic Preservation Trust -- clearly supporting historic preservation in the community!

A tour of unexpected surprises, you don't want to miss the 8th Annual Historic House Tour! Tomorrow's weather forecast ... a perfect historic house tour day, it never rains on House Tour day! Tickets available online -- www.tredyffrinhistory.org"
