GOP Paoli HQ: Last One Out Get the Lights

Win or lose this day was always coming.

Four days earlier the office tucked away in the corner of the Depot Shops in Paoli was teeming with activity. Tables full of volunteers calling perspective voters and reminding them to go to the polls on Election Day.

In the world of politics campaigns come and campaigns go.For people who poured their heart and soul into working for any candidate of any party at every level, the days after election day can be a let down. When your candidate doesn't win, the let down can be even bigger.

For Salome Gasible the woman who managed the GOP "Victory Center" in Paoli, and her most loyal volunteer, Friday afternoon was the last gasp as they locked the door for the last time. Gasible said she was headed home to South Bend, Indiana to start sending out resumes in time for the next political campaign season.
