Investigation Underway Of Small Plane Crash On The Main Line

Neighbors were astonished when first responders arrived en masse to a small plane crash in their quiet Wayne neighborhood.

WAYNE, PA —On the way home from school, 17-year-old Ben Johnson saw flashing lights everywhere in his neighborhood at the scene of a small plane crash on the St. Davids Golf Club course in Tredyffrin Township.

“I just wanted to see what was happening,” Johnson said, still watching the scene several hours after the 3:29 p.m. crash on the private golf course surrounded by a barbed wire fence. “I’ve been watching all day. It’s unfortunate.”

Johnson, a student at the Technical High School College Pickering Campus, near Phoenixville, was among the neighbors and media on the scene after the Cirrus 22 single engine plane landed in an open space on the golf course near the 14th hole.
