Landmark Anniversary, Denim Deals, Conestoga Sports Kick off Weekend in TE

Labor Day Weekend may be the proverbial "unofficial end of summer" but it also marks the "unofficial start" of many fall seasons, including back to school season and the start of a landmark theater season in TE.

Footlighters Celebrates 85th Season with Opening Night Party on the Lawn.

Weather permitting Footlighers Theater on Main Avenue in Berwyn will celebrate the start of its 85th Season Friday night with a gala reception on the lawn before the curtain rises its first production of the season.  The WXTU Ice Cream Truck will be on hand for the party at 7 p.m. at the theater which is across the street from St. Monica's Church. In the event of inclement weather the reception will be moved inside the theater.

The reception will be followed by the opening night of Rabbit Hole, the first production of the season. You can read much more about the show here in this announcement on TE Patch.

Plato's Closet in the Paoli Village Shoppes expanded over the summer, busting out the walls and taking over the space next door. The second hand clothing shop which specializes in gently used designer duds for teen girls and young women has a lot more inventory and a lot more space now.

Classes don't start until Tuesday, but football season starts Friday night at 7 p.m. for Conestoga High School. The Pioneers kick of the 2013 Season against Owen J. Roberts with a home game at Teamer Field.

Friday Brings  Much More than Just Football in 'Stoga Sports
