Lane Restrictions on Route 30 Planned Until End of May
PennDOT crews will patch the road, then drill bore holes to determine sinkhole activity underneath the highway.

Weekday lane closures are scheduled on eastbound U.S. 30 between the Business U.S. 30 and Route 100 interchanges in West Whiteland Township from Monday, May 11, through the end of the month for roadwork.
Eastbound U.S. 30 will be reduced to one lane where it crosses over Clover Mill Road on Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists are advised to allow additional time for travel as slowdowns will occur during construction.
On Monday, crews began patching the eastbound lanes on U.S. 30. During the remainder of the month, a contractor will drill core borings to determine the extent of potential sinkhole activity underneath the highway, and to obtain the necessary soil information for the design of a sub-surface repair project. The construction schedules are dependent on the weather.
Motorists can check conditions on more than 40,000 roadway miles, including color-coded winter conditions on 2,900 miles, by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information and access to more than 700 traffic cameras.
