Local Stations Mourn Fallen Philadelphia Firefighters

Fire companies throughout the city and suburbs are flying flags at half staff.

As fire Department from Philadelphia to the Upper Main Line prepare to say goodbye to two fallen firefighters this weekend, silent salutes to the two first responders wave outside firehouses from Chester County to the Center City.

Lt. Robert Neary, 60, and Firefighter Daniel Sweeney, 25, were killed fighting a five-alarm warehouse fire on Tuesday. Funerals are scheduled this weekend for both men from Philadelphia Fire Ladder Company 10.

Throughout the city and suburbs, fire companies, including Paoli and Berwyn, raised flags at half-staff to honor Neary and Sweeney. Others hung black bunting.
