A Malvern-based business you might never have heard of made a splash in the market Wednesday.

Endo Health Solutions, "a specialty healthcare company" that, among other things, specializes in branded and generic pharmaceuticals, purchased a rival medical company for $225 million dollars.

Boca Pharmacal, the company Endo spent over $200 million to aquire, is described in a release as "a specialty generics company that focuses on niche areas … as affordable alternatives to brand-name products."

The $225 million price tag comes on the heals of Endo spending $4.5 billion on acquisitions in 2010 and 2011, according to The State.
