TREDYFFRIN, PA —Firefighters from Berwyn and Paoli rescued a driver in an overturned vehicle just before 5 p.m. Friday in Lancaster Avenue Tredyffrin Township.

The Berwyn Fire Company was dispatched to a collision at 4:47 p.m. Friday to a crash in the 1000 block of Lancaster Avenue.

When the crews arrived. the driver was inside the vehicle, which was turned upside down.

Rescuers worked quickly to stabilize the overturned vehicle and open the side doors with rescue tools.

The driver was taken to Paoli Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.

The Tredyffrin and Easttown police departments were on the scene investigating the cause of the crash.

Car fire extinguished

On Sunday afternoon, Paoli firefighters responded to a fully involved car fire in the southbound lane of Route 202 in Paoli.
The fire was extinguished within 40 minutes. Smoke could be seen for several miles along the highway.
No injuries were reported.
