Man Stabbed with Dart During Argument, Police Say

Easttown police arrested A Berwyn man Saturday and charged him with aggravated assault following the incident.

A man is recovering from injuries after a Berwyn man allegedly stabbed him with a dart during a fight Saturday, according to a release from the Easttown Police Department.

Edward O’Neill, 45, of Berwyn, has been charged with one felony count of aggravate assault and related offenses after his arrest Saturday night.

According to the report from the police department, O’Neill and the victim, his neighbor, had been involved with a physical altercation earlier that day but broke it up. A few hours later, the two began arguing again, with O’Neill allegedly picking up a throwing dart and stabbing the victim several times in the shoulder.

Easttown Police Chief David Obzud says that the victim’s injuries were minor and that he was treated by an ambulance at the scene.

O’Neill has been remanded to Chester County Prison on cash bail of $20,000. His preliminary hearing is tentatively scheduled for April 15 at 9 a.m. before Judge Thomas Tartaglio, according to court records.
