Multiple Thefts From Tredyffrin Homes Reported

"Homeowners are cautioned to ensure that windows and doors are locked, and exterior lighting used," Tredyffrin Police said.

Multiple thefts from homes have been reported recently to Tredyffrin Township Police.

  • Around 10:30 a.m. Dec. 26 on the 400 block of Glenwyth Road in Wayne. The homeowner reported the theft of a large amount of sterling silver flatware. The flatware is worth several thousand dollars; it is unknown when the theft occurred.
  • On Dec. 29 on the 400 block of Irish Road in Berwyn, a victim reported several pieces of silver flatware and a Tiffany’s engraved bowl were stolen from their home. The bowl was valued at $3,000; the value of the flatware was unknown. The case is under investigation.
  • Around 9:30 a.m. Dec. 29 on the 300 block of Contention Lane in Berwyn, a homeowner reported several pieces of jewelry missing from the home. The estimated value is $10,000. The case is currently under investigation.

“Homeowners are cautioned to ensure that windows and doors are locked, and exterior lighting used,” Tredyffrin Police said.
