New Audi Dealership Faces Obstacle Course
Devon Audi gets the go ahead IF... and only if... if it can clear more hurdles than the jumping horses who compete a few blocks away.
The Devon Horse show jumping horses have it easy compared to the obstacle course laid out between the proposed Audi of Devon dealership and a final ok to begin construction.
Easttown's Board of Supervisors gave the project a conditional green light this week. Now all the Audi dealer must do is jump through 17 hoops before breaking ground on the former Anro Printing property.
Most of the conditions are designed to ease the concerns of the residents who live behind the former Anro printing property.

It's been a long and winding road for YBH Audi, the dealership that wants to move from its current location on West Chester Pike in Edgmont to the property next to EuroMotorcars Mercedes-Benz on Lancaster Ave. in Devon.
Local residents in the community that lies south of the Anro property have been most concerned about a driveway that leads in and out of the property from Fairfield Road. Neighbors are also worried about test drives being conducted through local streets and car carriers. All of those concerns have been addressed in the conditional approval given by Easttown Supervisors Monday night.

If the Audi Dealership can satisfy all 17 requirements voted on Monday night, construction could begin as soon as next spring.
YBH agreed to meet the conditions Monday. The township's solitictor then put the requirements in writing. The letter is attached to this article as pdf file. YBH must now formally sign off on by December 27 or the project would have to go back in front of the Board of Supervisors.
