New Eagle Kids Make Big Difference with $10
First graders turn ten bucks into big bucks for charities.
Never under estimate the creativity and drive of six and seven-year-olds.
The students from Beth Adams' New Eagle Elementary School first grade were honored Monday night for their charitable ideas and efforts during the 2011-2012 school year.
The students were recognized and applauded by the public and members of The Tredyffrin/Easttown School Board Monday night for their year long public service project that was inspired by Oprah Winfrey's 2008 Reality TV special series the Big Give.

Adams explained in a statement read by another teacher last night in her absence that she was inspired to see what he students could do to take ten dollars, turn into as much cash as possible and then use that money to help others in the community.
Each of her 20 first grade students wanted to participate in the voluntary project. Each submitted a proposal of what they would do to use the ten dollars in seed money to raise more money and then give it away in cash or purchased items to others with a need.
