The story has also been picked up the liberal-leaning political news site Politico.

In his report, Davies says this was not simply an isolated case of interference by one Obama staffer, rather a pattern that he says was repeated every time he tried to interview Obama supporters both outside and inside the rally location.

According to Davies' report, "Jennifer Austin, the Pennsylvania press secretary for the Obama campaign declined an interview, and said only, "we encourage reporters to talk to our supporters at events."

Pennsylvania is considered a critical battleground state and voters in the Phialdelphia suburbs are being courted heavily by both the Obama and Romney campaigns.
