Paoli Pizza Hut Delivers Bad News to Patrons
The popular carry out and delivery restaurant will shut down Thursday night.
It's been a Paoli staple for years but the Pizza Hut carryout and delivery restaurant in the Paoli Village Shoppes is shutting down for good at the close of business on Thursday.
The news, announced to customers on two big boards inside the store, comes after the Pizza Hut franchise owner and landlord were apparently unable to reach an agreement on a long term lease. Employees in the store refused comment on the lease situation which several local business sources told Patch is believed to be at the heart of the decision to close.
A Pizza Hut manager confirmed to Patch on Wednesday that this (Thursday, September 27) will be the last day of operations for the restaurant.

Pizza Hut is asking customers to fill out the customer satisfaction surveys that come on the receipts with every order in an effort to convince Pizza Hut to simply allow the franchise to move to another location close by.
According to signs posted in the store those surveys could play a big part in employees who now find themselves facing unemployment staying with the company. Several, but not all employees are likely to be transferred to other Pizza Hut locations in the region. The signs indicate that the franchisee store would like relocate locally and that the surveys will help garner corporate support for that.

The survey information can be found on receipts or on line at the Pizza Hut website.
