Poll: Should Pa.'s Minimum Wage Be Raised?

Gov. Tom Wolf has said he supports increasing the state's minimum wage by nearly $3 an hour.

Gov. Tom Wolf this week said he supports legislation that would increase Pennsylvania’s minimum wage by nearly $3 an hour.

Pennsylvania’s minimum wage currently is $7.25 an hour, the same as the federal minimum wage. Legislation proposed by state Rep. Patty Kim (D-103rd) would increase the minimum wage to $10.10 an hour.

“State legislators who enjoy an annual automatic pay increase now have the power to give this same benefit to low-wage workers,” Kim said in announcing the legislation.
