An estimated 1,000 plus people stood in line for about an hour each to meet Ray who smiled and chatted with each and every fan while signing book after book in the new store's Timber Room dining room.

Ray had god reason to smile. Fans were required to buy a copy of the book at Wegmans in order to get a customized autograph. The store sold more than 550 tickets, each good for two adults. Ray did sign copies of some of her other books as well, but to get your name in her handwriting, fans had to have the Book of Burger.  A Post It note attached to the inside cover of each Book of Burger let the author know who to dedicate each book to without having to ask and remember more than a thousand names.

Each fan did get a smile and a very brief conversation with their book dedication. Fans emerging from the Timber Room were all smiles and Patch did not hear a single complaint about the wait over the course of about an hour during the two hour signing.

Wegmans staff broke the line into groups of about 50 who were let into the room as the group before wound down. The system allowed people with wristband tickets to wait and/or have dinner in the Wegmans cafe restaurant or outside in the outdorr dining area.
