Report: Amtrak to NY, DC Disruptions Sunday

If you're planning to take a train along the Northeast Corridor you may run into some schedule disruptions.

An article posted early Sunday morning on Philly.com says Amtrak is expecting to a run on a "modified" schedule between Washington, DC and New York on Sunday.

According to the report, downed trees and power lines along the tracks after Friday night's storms are to blame.

Just before 6 a.m. Sunday there was no information about the disruptions available on the Amtrak website.

The Amtrak website also warned that the railroad's booking system was "temporarily unavailable." If you are planning to travel on Amtrak's Northeast Corrider Sunday you may want to call ahead for the status of your train, and keep the toll free number, 1-800-USA-RAIL handy.
