School Board Adopts Proposed Final $125M Budget

The proposed 2015-2016 budget includes a 3.81 percent increase for Tredyiffrin/Easttown taxpayers.

At its regular meeting on April 27, 2015, the Tredyffrin/Easttown School Board approved the proposed final budget for the 2015–2016 school year in the amount of $125,856,647.

The proposed final budget includes a tax rate increase of approximately 3.81 percent, or $194 on the average assessed house in T/E.

The budgeted imbalance of approximately $5.3 million is addressed through property tax increases from the Act 1 index at 1.9 percent and approved referendum exceptions at 1.91 percent, as well as a commitment from the fund balance.

The T/E School Board and administration will continue to work on the budget before voting on the 2015-2016 Final Budget at the June 15 board meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Conestoga High School. The meeting agenda will be available prior to the meeting on the T/E School District web site. There are public comment periods at all public School Board meetings.

The budget presentation from the April 27, 2015 School Board meeting is available on the T/E School District web site under “Budget” and “2015-2016 Budget Development”. The 2015-2016 budget is available for inspection at the T/E School District Administration Offices and on the District web site at www.tesd.net/budget then “2015-2016 Budget Development”.
