Stoganews.com Earns National Recognition

The student-run website was recently announced as a finalist in a contest sponsored by the National Scholastic Press Association.

Conestoga High School's student-run website, stoganews.com, was named a National School Press Association Online Pacemaker finalist on Tuesday. 

According to the NSPA press release, a record 252 websites were entered in the contest, from which 50 finalists were selected based on numerous qualities:

Entries were judged over the course several weeks, based on content, design, writing and editing, rich media and breaking news.

Sophomore Suproteem Sarkar is the webmaster of the site, which draws content from the student newspaper, The Spoke, and the T/E TV, the district's public access television channel.

The winners will be announced April 27 at the National High School Journalism Convention in San Francisco, sponsored by the NSPA and the Journalism Education Association.
