T&E Care Seeks Help to Help Local Families

T & Care, a local organization dedicated to lending a heling hand to families who find themselves in need, is seeking volunteers and donations for two drives.

T&E Care Founder Sandi Gorman sent the following email to Patch to pass along to our readers. More information about the organization and the needs for this holiday season is available on the T&E Care website.

If you had hoped to help out with our holiday drive and time got away from you - there are still families/individuals/items available for your support.  

We started with 67 local families (have added 3 more) and 275 individual toys for the Winter Wonder Program at Paoli Presbyterian Church.  We are excited to say that 42 of the families are totally sponsored so far (and many others have partial sponsorships), and 208 toys have been offered.  So we're making GREAT progress.  

The deadline for the Family gifts is Sunday, December 9 - so there's still time!

 The deadline for the Winter Wonder toys is THIS Sunday, December 2.

 Please feel free to check out our website if you are interested in helping out!  http://www.tecare.org/holidaydrive2012.html  Many of the families on this list have expressed much humiliation at asking for this help - but we'd like to give them a little break from stress with whatever we can offer.  Thanks for considering this option in the spirit of the holidays!

Volunteers of time needed for holiday drive

We could still use a few volunteers to help as we prepare for the final day of the holiday drive on Dec. 13.  

We could use help driving gifts from drop off locations to the main sorting location (this is a very time-flexible job, and is good for teens as well as adults), as well as help on the 13th with sorting, delivering (adults only), etc.
