The T/E School Board is moving fast on a proposal to impose a $50 student activity fee.
The T/E School Board is moving fast on a proposal to impose a $50 student activity fee. If approved, the fee would be imposed on all middle and high school students in almost all sports and school activities in the school district.
There are a few exceptions for clubs that are organized and run by parents and non-school staff.
The School Board has scheduled a priority discussion on the sports and activity participation fee at its monthly meeting next Monday, April 23, 2012

The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Room 200 of the Tredyffrin/Easttown Administrative Offices located at 940 West Valley Road,Wayne,PA.  After the discussion, the Board will vote on the implementation of the fee. If the participation fee is approved, students and families will be notified prior to the start of the 2012-2013 school year regarding the collection process.
There are a few exceptions to sports that would be charged. crew, ice hockey, rugby, and squash clubs are not included in the proposal.
