T/E School District Moves Last Day of School
Extra snow days in March forced the district to postpone the start of summer vacation.
Students in the Tredyffrin/Easttown School District eager to stow the school bags and hit the beach in June will have to wait just a little bit longer.
District officials have moved the last official day of school from Tuesday, June 16 to a half day on June 19. According to the district website, the decision was made based on the use of emergency snow days on March 5 and 6.
The school calendar has noted April 6 as a possible make-up day, but taking away the holiday is subject to contractual guidelines. The only holidays left on the 2014-2015 schedule is May 19, an Act 80 instructional day for teachers, and May 25, Memorial Day.
