Tredyffrin Police Honor Officer of the Year
Tredyffrin's Officer of the Year has police work in his blood.
As his new baby, wife,mother, and police officer father cheered Tredyffrin Police Officer Donald Molineux was named Tredyffrin's officer of the year during ceremonies Wednesday Morning at the Tredyffrin Municipal Building.
Molineux was selected for the honor by his peers from a group of four nominees.
A ten year veteran of the Tredyffrin police force, Officer Molineux has also been part of a Chester County inter-agency police task force, he is credited for saving a family from a hazardous situation last year. In presenting the award, Police Chief Anthony Giaimo told the crowd that family credits Molineux with saving their lives. The new Officer of the Year is also an instructor in the department's Citizen Police Academy. Giaimo also pointed out that Molineux has had perfect attendance during his tenure with the department, no small feat given the nature of the job and a decade of service.

Officer Molineux has police work in his blood. His father is Chief of Police in Yeadon, Delaware County. Officer Molineux's is married. He and his wife Michelle have a one-month old baby boy Donald Jr..
As part of the honor Molineux receives a special service ribbon, award citation and a reserved parking space by the door of the Tredyffrin Police Department.
