Tredyffrin Police Investigate Death Threat Email

Tredyffrin Township Police are investigating the case of an email sent to a township resident that threatened the recipient's life.

According to Police the email was reported on August 16th just before 6:30 p.m.. Police say the subject line of the email was “Sad News – You need to save your life”. The email threatened the recipient’s life, stating that someone placed “a hit” on the recipient."

According to police nothing resulted from the threats, and there was no financial loss to the recipient.

Police say the incident is a good reminder to email users to beware of opening emails sent from uknown sources.
