Tredyffrin Township Has a New Police Chief
An overflow crowd cheers as a 23 year veteran of the force takes the oath for his new office.

23 years after joining the Tredyffrin Police Department, Anthony Giaimo now officially leads the department. Giaimo took the oath of office in front of a standing room only crowd during the regularly-scheduled Tredyffrin Board of Supervisors (BOS) meeting Monday night.
Hundreds of people including family, friends, police from around the region, politicians, and township residents packed the Board of Supervisors meeting room in the Tredyffrin Municipal Building to watch the ceremony.
During brief remarks after taking the oath of office Giaimo thanked his family for their suport and for sacrifices they have made over the course of his 23 year career with the department. Giaimo pledged to continue working closely with the public and to continue the community outreach efforts his department has instituted since he was named Acting Superintendent five months ago.
