Tredyffrin Township Still Tracking Trees

TREDYFFRIN TOWNSHIP, PA — Trees are on the agenda for Tredyffrin Township's Board of Supervisors meeting Monday night.

A survey of trees at Wilson Farm Park is part of the township's larger plan for tree planting and management. Sidney Singh of the township's Environmental Advisory Council has created a Google map tour of Wilson Farm Park's trees, identifying the trees and their placement.

In September the township's Environmental Advisory Council approved a plan for planting trees at the new Berwyn Sports development. The EAC also continues its plan for tree planting at Teegarden Park.

The board also votes on the appointment of Brian Vargo to the Library Foundation Board.

The Tredyffrin Township Building at 1100 DuPortail Road will serve as a collection location for Toys for Tots. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off there now through Dec. 7.

The township again states its need for volunteers to serve on various boards. The meeting agenda for Nov. 16 announces openings for volunteer positions on the Environmental Advisory Council, Historical Commission, and for an alternate member on the Zoning Hearing Board. The township supervisors ask anyone interested to please send letter of interest and resume to tredyffrin@tredyffrin.org.
