On March 29 about 1:20 PM Cpl. Power responded to a 911 call from Shangrila (Chinese) restaurant on Swedesford Rd. in Wayne regarding a diner showing signs of a stroke. The stroke victim was Jonathan Kane of Wayne. My friend Paul Yakulis and I were with Jon when the symptoms became apparent. Paul placed the 911 call.

Cpl. Power arrived so quickly we thought she must have been right outside. She displayed great professionalism, knowledge, training, concern, decisiveness and dedication. We were most impressed. The ambulance arrived 5 minutes after Cpl. Power did and we got our friend to Paoli ER within 25 minutes of the first stroke symptoms. Jon is now in rehab at Bryn Mawr rehab.
