Waterloo Avenue Closure Delayed, PennDOT Says

PennDOT said the planned closure of Waterloo Avenue in Easttown Township has been pushed back for unspecified reasons.

EASTTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The closure of Waterloo Avenue in Easttown Township has been delayed, according to PennDOT.

Waterloo Avenue was scheduled to close Tuesday and Wednesday for resurfacing work.

Now, PennDOT said the closure will only be in effect one day this week.

Waterloo Avenue will be closed between Lancaster Avenue/U.S. Route 30 and Berwyn Avenue.

The closure will be in place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.

During the closure, drivers will be directed to use Berwyn Avenue, Midland Avenue, and Lancaster Avenue.

Local access will be maintained up to the work zone.

This work is part of ongoing projects to repair and pave more than 200 miles of state highway across the Philadelphia region.

Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work area because backups and delays will occur.

All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
