Wegmans Celebrates Olympics W/ Free Cake Sat.
The chain with stores on the east and west ends of the TE Patch coverage area is throwing an Olympics party with free cake on Saturday.
Wegmans in King of Prussia and Malvern will be feeding Olympic fever with free cake Saturday at noon.
Each of the chain's 80 stores will hold a party with a differnt cake custom-designed by bakers at each Wegmans.

When it’s time to celebrate, bake a cake! That’s just what Wegmans will do on Saturday, August 11, in honor of USA Olympic Athletes and Medalists, many of whom hail from places where Wegmans has stores.
 “We are in awe of what these athletes have accomplished,” says CEO Danny Wegman. “They instill a sense of pride in all of us, and I can’t think of a better reason to celebrate.”

Celebration Cakes will be served to customers and employees in Wegmans’ 80 stores located in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Virginia, Maryland and Massachusetts.Â
Stores have been asked to use their creativity and ingenuity to design the cakes and to decorate the area where cake will be served.  “Count on red, white and blue as the color theme. Beyond that, it will be surprise at each store.” says Jo Natale, Wegmans’ director of media relations.
