• Driver high on cocaine gets legal break (northcentralpa.com) — A Towanda woman received a lighter jail sentence for a second impaired-driving incident because a recent Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling prevents her earlier DUI, resolved through ARD, from counting as a prior offense. Towanda Borough police stopped her on South Main Street, and Bradford County’s district attorney says the legal loophole has led the county to halt ARD offers for DUI cases for now.
