Council also approved a tight 2026 city budget while keeping local tax millage rates unchanged from 2025, aiming to manage police staffing and contract costs without raising taxes.

• Uniontown's Foster wins four events in non-section meet (heraldstandard.com) — Uniontown swimmers delivered standout performances at Uniontown Area High School, with senior Hannah Foster winning four events and several teammates adding multiple victories, even as the girls narrowly fell to Connellsville. The boys’ team topped the Falcons, and both squads now head into a brief Christmas break before Uniontown returns to the pool at Greensburg Salem on January 5.
