A Dangerous Golf Ball and a Bad Best Buy Purchase

Property damage … On Wednesday, April 17 at about 5 p.m., a golf ball struck the windshield of a gold Chevrolet Venture minivan traveling north on Limekiln Pike near the Lulu Country Club, police said. According to police, the victim, a Glenside resident, said she did not see the golfer who hit the ball that struck her vehicle. Police spoke with the Lulu Country Club manager; the manager was not able to find anyone who may have seen the incident, police said. 

Identity theft … On April 9, someone made an unauthorized purchase in the amount of $659 at Bestbuy.com using the credit card information belonging to a Martin Lane resident, police said. According to police, the victim contacted Best Buy, and a representative told the victim to file a police report, which he did on April 17; the Best Buy representative said the company had started its own investigation. The victim’s Best Buy account and the victim’s credit card account have both been cancelled, police said.
