A Slashed Tire and a Hit and Run at George’s, Top Police Reports

Criminal mischief …

Someone slashed the rear driver’s side tire of a black Mazda CX-7 sport utility vehicle parked in a driveway on the 1000 block of Stevens Drive in Fort Washington  between March 10 at 6 p.m. and March 11 at about 9:30  a.m., police said. According to police, the tire had two slash marks that appeared to have been caused by a sharp object. There are currently no leads in the case.

Hit and run …

On March 6 at about 1:30 p.m., someone hit a blue 2012 Nissan Altima parked in the George’s Shop ‘N Bag parking lot. According to police, the victim said she was in the store for roughly 20 minutes when she came out and saw that her driver’s side rear fender had been scratched and dented. There was red and white paint transfer left on the fender. There are no leads.

Theft from motor vehicle …

Someone broke into three unlocked vehicles parked in the 500 block of Applewood Drive in Fort Washington before March 11 at 7:38 p.m., police said. Missing from a silver Toyota Highlander was a hospital ID badge; missing from a red Toyota Corolla was $20 in cash; and missing from a white Toyota Camry was $20 in cash, $5 in change and a pair of sunglasses. None of the vehicles showed signs of forced entry, police said.
