Kevin Li of Upper Dublin High School was announced by U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan as one of 141 high school seniors recognized as Presidential Scholars. This prestigious honor is given annually to selected students based on their academic success, artistic excellence, essays, school evaluations and transcripts, as well as evidence of community service, leadership, and demonstrated commitment to high ideals. A ceremony will be held on June 16th, when each honoree will receive a Presidential Scholar Medallion at a White House-hosted ceremony. Kevin’s most influential teacher, Joanne Lilliendahl, will accompany him to the annual ceremony where the invited educators are honored with a Teacher Recognition Award from the U.S. Department of Education.
