A Tesla Charging In Driveway Of Maple Glen Home Catches Fire And Destroys Home
The Tesla was reportedly charging in the driveway of a home on Temple Drive in the Maple Glen section of Upper Dublin when it caught fire.

UPPER DUBLIN, PA — An electric car that had been charging in the driveway of a home in the Maple Glen section of the township Tuesday night apparently caught fire, and it is now being reported that the house may be a total loss.
The Tesla, which was parked in the driveway of a home on Temple Drive, caught fire just before 10:30 Tuesday night, according to fire officials and news reports.
The Fort Washington Fire Co. 1 reported that fire crews were dispatched to the home around 10:19 p.m. for a report of a vehicle that was on fire.

Upon arrival, firefighters found fire emanating from the rear of the Tesla and extending into the attached garage of the home.
Photos posted to the fire department's website show extensive damage to the vehicle, garage and other parts of the home.

The television news station CBS 3 Philly reported that the home was apparently a total loss following the incident.
