The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission, with the help of Upper Dublin residents, stocked Loch Alsh Reservoir with brown and rainbow trout Friday afternoon.
Waterways conservation officer Erin Czech — who helped direct residents — said the Fish and Boat Commission brought 800 fish to the reservoir. Trout season locally begins Saturday, March 30 at 8 a.m.
Friday afternoon was the first stocking day for the southeastern part of the state, which includes 18 counties; the rest of the state will be stocked April 13.

The reservoir hasn’t been stocked for the past two years, Czech said, as the reservoir dam was undergoing repairs.
Those over 16 years old need a license to fish in Pennsylvania; a trout/salmon stamp is required as well.
