Check out a few events happening this week in the township

The Upper Dublin Public Library will host former Governor Ed Rendell on Wednesday, March 20, where he will discuss his book, “A Nation of Wusses: How America’s Leaders Lost the Guts to Make Us Great.”

The event will be held at 7 p.m. in the Upper Dublin Community Rooms in the Township Building, 801 Loch Alsh Ave., Fort Washington.

The book chronicles Rendell’s 34-year political career while making a statement on American leadership. Rendell served as Mayor of Philadelphia from 1992-2000; Pennsylvania Governor from 2003-2011; and served as Chairman of the Democratic National Committee during the 2000 presidential election.

On Thursday, March 21 at 7 p.m., join the Upper Dublin Library for an evening of scandal, scheming and sociopaths in which Julie Zauzmer will discuss her book, “Conning Harvard.” Learn about the competitive but shockingly-easily duped world of Ivy League admissions. The event is free.

Zauzmer is a 2009 Upper Dublin High School graduate and is currently a Harvard Senior. As a Harvard Crimson reporter, she covered the story of Adam Wheeler, a student who faked, lied and cheated his way into Harvard. Managing Editor of The Crimson in 2012, Zauzmer will pursue a career in journalism at “The Washington Post” after graduation.
