UDPD Reports: Brand New iPhone 5 Stolen from LA Fitness
Police incident reports from Upper Dublin Township Police Department.

Theft - On Thursday, Dec. 27, at 8:36 a.m., an officer was dispatched to the Rose Valley Cemetery behind the Upper Dublin Lutheran Church at the 400 block of Susquehanna Rd. in Ambler for a report of a burglary just discovered. The victim told the officer that the garage, the large storage shed and the Rose Valley Cemetery are owned by the Upper Dublin Lutheran Church. The victim said that he is an employee, and the office also spoke with the scoutmaster for a Boy Scout Troop. The victim said that it was noticed that two 10' x 10' Philadelphia Eagles canopy tents were missing from the box trailer and the box trailer had been secured with pad locks, which were found on the ground by the officer.
Criminal Mischief - On Thursday, Dec. 27, at approximately 11:23 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 1000 block of Twining Rd. for a report of criminal mischief. Upon arrival the officer met with the victim who stated that someone had slashed the tires on the owner's vehicle. A total of three tires were slashed/destroyed.
ID Theft - On Friday, Dec. 21, at 1:08 p.m., an officer met with a resident of the 1000 block of Dublin Rd. in Dresher at the Upper Dublin Police headquarters regarding a complaint of identity theft. The victim reported that on Thursday, Dec. 20, they received a phone call from Ally Bank who informed them that an account at the bank was created in the victim's name and that $5,000 was transferred into that account the the victim's bank account. the reporting party had not opened an account at this bank and it was confirmed that the account was opened without the victim's authorization. The account was closed and the funds returned to the victim.

Burglary - On Dec. 20 around 3:34 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Highland Ave. for a found burglary. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the victim, who said that the victim got home around 2:40 p.m. and things were missing from the home. Police were called. Missing from the home: a 15" MAC Pro laptop and charger valued around $3,000. Once Canon Vixia camera valued at $400 an OPTEKA lens for the camera valued at $100 and an X-grip for the camera valued at $30, $12 in cash, a black Playstation 3 slim valued at $300 with a silver controller, a red pair of headphones called at $250 and video games (unsure how many), valued around $60 each. Also taken was some jewelry and approximately 10 bottles of liquor.
ID Theft - On Dec. 26, at approximately 3:03 p.m. an officer was dispatched to the 1400 block of Barton Dr. for a report of identity theft. The officer spoke with the victim who said she had just discovered that an unauthorized person(s) had used the victim's debit/credit card to make purchases from Overstock.com. The victim is not sure the full amount of the unauthorized purchases.

Accident - On Wednesday, Dec. 26, at approximately 4:40 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a vehicle that struck a street sign at Wischman Ave. and Belmont Ave. Upon arrival, the officer met with the driver, who said she was attempting to turn around and the rear bumper hooked the street sign and pulled it over. The driver was not injured. The vehicle had a damaged passenger side bumper. The Upper Dublin Township street sign post for the Wischman Ave and Belmont Ave was knocked over and still connected at the base. The officer moved it as far out of the way as possible.
ID Theft - On Thursday, Dec. 20, at approximately 8:38 a.m., an officer was dispatched for a walk in report of identity theft. The victim stated that someone had been using her Discover Card without her authorization. The reporting Party received numerous packages at her front door which she did not order. This prompted her to check her credit card statement, which revealed 17 unauthorized purchased totaling $1,479.10. The victim has since reported the unauthorized transactions to the credit card company and cancelled the card. The companies were able to provide the victim with an e-mail address for the suspect involved.
Theft - On Wednesday, Dec. 19, at approximately 10:04 p.m., and officer was dispatched to LA Fitness, 1175 Virginia Drive for a report of theft. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the victim, who stated the following: he got to LA Fitness, set his backpack down in the Northwest corner of the gym near the emergency exit door. He placed his black iPhone 5 with a black protective case on top of the backpack. When he went to get his backpack and phone to leave around 10 p.m., the victim noticed it was missing. The victim called his phone but it was already turned off. He told the officer that he just got the phone today and does not have any apps to help locate it. The victim turned down the Victim's Rights Booklet. He stated he did not want his information faxed to any of the enlisted agencies. The victim stated numerous people came in and out of the gym including a group of basketball players who were standing near the corner of the gym, however, no suspect information could be provided.
